Well, your teacher shouldn't get pissed at you. You have incontrovertible evidence with that text, so it is pretty clear the project not being done is your partner's fault. Hand in what you have completed and calmly explain your situation. Throw your partner under the bus and let them take the heat for it. Seriously, this one is pretty easy to fix. If your teacher still reprimands you, go see the principle/department head/dean. People hate it when you complain so you should eventually get what you want. (It's dickish, but whining really does get you what you want... just reserve that power for when it really counts, like in these situations.)

been in your shoes OP. In undergrad I kept getting pared up with the meatheads on football scholarships.... You learn the best way to get a good grade with groupwork is to assign flake partners to getting you coffee and doing it yourself.

I feel your pain, dearest, that's why I always hated partnered reports... out of the dozens of those that I had there was ONE that I could actually trully count on to not only just finish their part, but also finish it at a high level. I hope you showed your professor that text message and asked for a short extension to complete the project. Most professors are understanding when someone drops the ball in a group assignment.
