Next time, try setting the Macbook to the side so it DOESN'T fall off the bed. You got a text message - it'll still be there if you take an extra second for caution.
I agree with #12 and #13. laptops are unpredictable and can survive a fall from a table but crash and have the hard drive break from not moving at all ( as mine did >.< ) and have any of you watched "scarred"? 3/4 of the broken arms are from falls from the normal height of a bed. so dont go jumping to conclusions b/c something is unlikely. his/her laptop falling probably disctracted him/her from the fall so she landed akwardly and had no time to catch the laptop. and lol at #21
#17, my thoughts exactly
Technology overload much? Why do you need facebook messages sent to your cell if your laptop is within arms reach? You're probably the kind of person that has to check their facebook/myspace/etc. 100 times a day to see if anyone noticed you. This is just sad.
douche...use your brain, the OP isn't always sitting in the bed with his laptop..wow
#15 is so right.
wait how did a mac book fracture your arm? im pretty sure the'ye not THAT heavy

Yet another reason to hate facebook.
First of all: Don’t post any comments which could negatively influence on the veracity of a FML or even on the anecdote’s potential to be a FML. Don’t ruin others pleasure. [That is in the posting rules, in case you haven't read them.] Secondly, I have also done far less with a laptop than drop it from a bed to have it stop working, so that definitely could happen. And, it doesn't matter how big the fall is or how hard it is, so much as HOW they fall, so someone could very easily break their arm falling off of their bed, especially if their arm was reached out to pick up a cell phone.
