Today, I got an acceptance later to a great boarding school in India for my senior year of high school. I sent them a letter telling them I wouldn't go, because I just got back with my ex-boyfriend. I just got a text from my boyfriend. Guess who's my ex again? FML

Today, my boyfriend informed me that he'd resolved all the issues with his ex and is getting back together with her. Normally I could tolerate this if it weren't for the fact that I just moved to a different country to live with him, and turned down a university and a scholarship. FML

Today, I was accepted to college and received a scholarship equal to almost half the tuition. After sharing this news with my parents, I spent the next 35 minutes getting yelled at about how I wasn't allowed to go there because my boyfriend might go there. FML

An acceptance later? EPIC fail. And even more of an epic fail to choose a bf who seems to be an ass anyway over a great educational opportunity. If he was meant for you, it would work out even if you DID go to the school

As great an idea as staying with your boyfriend seems like, no matter what your age, never let an amazing opportunity pass you by because of it. Any relationship worth having can survive a year apart anyway. If I were you, I'd send another letter off ASAP saying you made a mistake in sending the first one and asking if your spot is still available.
