Why does everyone assume the OP did something to get canned? People are being let go all over the place through no fault of their own...
what #28 said is true. Just don't drive him or tell him to let you have the job back so he can be driven.
Charge him the standard cab fare: $2.50 for the first 1/5 of a mile, and $0.40 for every 1/5 of a mile thereafter. There is an additional $0.40 charge per minute stopped or in slow traffic. If he complains, kindly explain that you recently lost your job and have to make a living somehow. However, you would be willing to offer a 25% discount since he's family and you're feeling generous. You should also let him know that tips are welcome.
I was wondering why he was complaining... 'til I noticed he wrote "fired", not "hired". Stay in bed, let him take the bus or something
Not much to work with here. Assuming you also live at home besides formerly working for dad, I'd say you better give him a ride before you end up homeless also. It is never a good feeling to take someone's job away but it is a total stress relief to bounce a bum to the curb. If you live on your own ****'em let him walk.
Just tell him to take your car. All you're gonna do tomorrow is sleep in and surf for **** anyway.
You might deserve it. If your father fired you, you probably did something pretty bad. "People are being let go all over the place through no fault of their own..." His father fired him. For the most part, parents are fairly compassionate and let things slide for their kids, and try to help them out. Chances are, he probably did something bad enough to get fired. "You were fired because your father wants you to drive him to work?" No, he was fired by his father... but his father still wants him to take him to work (the OP's now-former job).
but let me guess you gotta take him coz u still live in the same house and I bet your car is under him name fyl*
If u got fired by your dad, you must have sucked as an employee. I'm sure YDI

Don't take him, problem solved! Damn I'm good.
This sounds awfully like that show "That 70's Show."
