Today, I got fired from my job as a seafood manager because an entire wedding group came in and started yelling at me, saying the shrimp was horrible and I ruined their wedding. They showed me the leftovers; they never cooked them. They fed raw shrimp at a wedding dinner party. FML

Today, after 8 months of being belittled and treated like trash at my job as a prep cook in a high-end kitchen, I stood up for myself to the line cooks. Not only did everyone laugh at me, I got fired for causing a scene during service and insubordination. FML

Today, I went on a blind date with a guy at a seafood restaurant. I explained to him that I am deathly allergic to shrimp. When the waiter took my order, he interrupted me and said, “She’ll have the shrimp," while looking me dead in the eye. FML

Today, at my prestigious sous chef job, I was preparing to plate up expensive entrees for a function of 150 people. After arriving to work 2 hours early to finalize finishing touches, they call the restaurant 5 minutes before their booking stating, 'We can't be bothered anymore, sorry.' FML

Some people are just too stupid to understand. There are people who don't know the difference between a catering service (ones who supply and cook the food) and place the only supply the food.

A lot of people are under the wrong impression that shrimp cocktail involves raw shrimp; they don't realize that it is in fact cooked. Some people believe this because of the way the shrimp looks (kind of raw even though cooked) and some buy the prepared thaw and serve shrimp and don't realize that it has been precooked.

Yes because the manager knew they didn't know how uncooked shrimp looked like. And had to go out there himself and tend to their cooking needs as well.

21 from what OP said it sounds like he worked in a place the only supplied the food. In my town there are places where the season everything and the customer cooks it themselves or have someone else do it for them with instructions that are provided.
