Today, I got fired from my job as a seafood manager because an entire wedding group came in and started yelling at me, saying the shrimp was horrible and I ruined their wedding. They showed me the leftovers; they never cooked them. They fed raw shrimp at a wedding dinner party. FML

Fresh seafood has a very mild odour, not smelly really. Old seafood however...

I'd say sue your company, they had no right to fire you because these people are too stupid to know that shrimps are to be cooked. It's clearly unfair dismissal. Gee honestly, I know having a business is difficult but how sad is it that you'd rather get rid of an employee than explain to the customer that they were at fault?

If TX is a right to work state, OP can't sue for wrongful termination unless it was based off of discrimination.

Um well you are the manager.. It's your job to make sure you either don't have such incompetent employees or are around to fix their mistakes. Sorry op but I voted on both!

Apparently they thought you were a caterer and thus didn't realize they had to cook it but I would think seafood place means I have to cook it myself

So your boss fired you because the customer was't smart enought ot cook the shrimp. Sounds like your boss is as big of an idiot as the customer.

The boss isn't necessarily an idiot, just inconsiderate for being unwilling to stand up for his/her employee. The whole wedding party may be morons, but if they are locals then the business requires their spending, plus one-sided bad word of mouth would be worse for business, so financially it's better to shift blame to the terminated employee to try and placate them, but completely amoral and unfair.
