This is why I delete my photos after I upload them onto my computer. But then again, my camera has an option to recover photos.
Derp. I guess there is reason still for those good ol' 35mm cameras, although I'd expect that you're the type that would accidentally expose them... ¯(º_o)/¯ Be more careful next time.
don't use it at all for now, there's ways to get them back. u download some program. I duno, google it. my bf's done it for some friends a couple of times now...
Not saying it YDI, but isn't there a confirmation thing before you delete a picture?
My camera doesn't have a confirmation button it's one little click on delete or delete all. It's possible the op has the same problem.

What?! Every digital camera I've used has a confirmation step, so that you would have had to hit 'yes' or something like it twice to avoid situations just like the one the OP had.
I would have cried. Honest. I love taking pictures and I would hate for the same thing to happen to me.
