Today, I got my car back from the shop. The engine has been rebuilt twice in the past 3 months. My check engine light just came on. FML

some cars are really touchy, it could be something as simple as a fuse is blown or the gas cap is loose

When my check engine light came on, it was because I needed a new catalytic converter. Pretty pricey! :/

Dude ur mechanic is putting a "new" junkyard motor in it take it to autozone chek the codes andni its a sencoe thn sew ur mechanic the only reason u need a new engine ever is if its usin alot of oil or makin a huge rattle in the actual motor anothr tip is to make them tell u exactly wut the problem was and to prove it

Probably the mechanic's laziness or deliberate. Find a new one and check it over.
