They can't make you do anything, could've opted out of it
You should have started to pick up and eat the paper balls.
I guess the people who run the school forgot why we have schools. You're there to ******* learn things! And one of those things is how to be a good person. A good person does not throw paper balls at someone. Unless its like a game between friends or something. I remember going to rallies... sometimes they were fun but other times it was plain stupid. I get up early each morning and spend seven hours of my life each day to go to school, hoping to learn stuff, increase my knowledge, and expand my horizons, but instead they make me sit in a gym packed with students while they damage my hearing with extremely loud music and have people sumo wrestle, throw pies at each others faces, and spin around a baseball bat to get dizzy. It was all so ridiculous. Then they'd throw stuff out at the audience, which was entertaining, but people would get into fights over dumb tshirts and even once, a ball of string. While I was amused at it all, I felt like I was surrounded by crazed baboons. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying schools shouldn't be fun. Of course they should be fun! I had one class where I learned a lot, then when we finished our lessons early, we'd have class parties and watch The Office. Sometimes the lessons were boring and I felt like I was in a college lecture instead of junior high, but other times we had fun with our learning, going outside, doing applied math and science problems in the real world, going on field trips, etc. School can be a great thing. But what goes down in front of everyone at the center of a rally should probably stop. Its just plain weird, and not the good kind of weird.
At least they were doing fun stuff at your school. The pep rallies at my old high school consisted of watching cheerleaders twerk to deafening rap music for about 10 minutes. No, for a heterosexual female, it was not fun to watch.
What kind high school is that?!
aww sorry op ;(

I'm curious as to why they do this and if it occurs every year.
So your school is actively advocating singling someone out and bullying them? Wooooooow...change schools.
