Today, I got screamed at, threatened, cursed, and spat on by an elderly couple for "running them off the road". I was driving an ambulance, lights and sirens on, with a 4 year old in the back who couldn't breathe. They were going 20 in a 50mph zone for 2 miles straight. FML

Call the cops they will understand and they will get a ticket.

You did the right thing. Those old people need to rewire their brains and realize what a terrible thing they did, and what an amazing thing you did. Not to be judgmental or anything, but those old people are probably going to Hell. Although, congratulations on being such a good person for helping that child as much as you could. :)

Can't you charge them for not getting out of your way? It's the law, isn't it?

I drive a truck for my fire department. I have had people follow me to a scene and do the same thing. And it's even a law in Texas that you must yield to emergency vehicles

I think that law applies everywhere in the states.

I think that law applies more or less everywhere in the world.

Just doin' your job I suppose!? Trying to set them up for a ride in your wagon next...bet that was the real fear.

This is why elderly should be stripped of their lisences.

You gotta do what you gotta do. If your runnin Code 3 then they are supposed to pull over. Let alone not goin 30mph under the speed limit

they should correct them selves before they correct others Is the kid ok

Old people should not drive. They even kill kids indirectly

This is why I think people should have to retake their driving test every 4 or 5 years. Too many idiots on the road. Your car needs to be tested once a year to make sure it is roadworthy (at least it does in the UK), so why don't they test drivers to make sure they are roadworthy too?
