This happened with the backs of my knees. But only because I have eczema in those spots so my skin is super sensitive.
Thicc and red ?
Well isn't that just a pain in the ass
I have to go with YDI for this - if you're going to expose sensitive skin like that, use sunblock.
I have done this before when I didn't realise that my bikini didn't cover the bottom of my ass and I forgot to sunblock in case. very easy mistake
fresh sun baked buns
why sunbathe them to then complain about it afterwards ? live with the consequences. YDI
Add some white vinegar to your bath and soak for awhile. The dead skin from the sunburn will be dissolved by the vinegar thus lowering the amount of pain you must be feeling. About a gallon to a tub full of water should be enough.
This works way better if you add some baking soda right behind the vinegar.
At least you didn't burn your nether lips.

I'll make the assumption that you only expose your ass to the sun when you sunbathe, so YDI for not using protection against the sun.
Maybe you should have covered them?
