That depends on what you view as the problem. Most people who commit suicide deal with issues like depressive or mental disorders, addictions, a history of family violence, etc. Those things aren't often temporary; they'll affect you throughput your entire life. The "straw that broke the camel's back", like this OP's loss of a job, may be temporary, but IMO those don't really qualify as suicide causes. Regardless of all that, though, suicide is never the answer.

Where exactly did I say I consider myself the supreme judge? I clearly stated that was my opinion. I'm certainly not lacking in empathy for people who are suicidal, and my comment didn't imply that I am. I based that opinion on the fact that many, many people lose their jobs without even contemplating suicide. Therefore, something else must be in play as well if the OP is indeed suicidal-- a big if, considering that she posted this anecdote on an Internet lulz site AND announced her feelings in a public forum like fb. Those who actually follow through don't often make serious threats in that manner.

Oh Janey, why do you even bother? It's too complex for someone to actually READ your post before criticizing it's just easier to go "Durrr...STFU who said you were the expert" or words to that effect...
