I once dreamed my son fell into a flooded stormwater drain and was washed away and drowned before I could grab him from the water. I raced out of bed to find him and bawled my eyes out for a out half an hour, poor kid just wanted to get on with the game he was playing but had to put up with his mother clinging to him and sobbing. OP's lady will get over it, it just takes a while to come down from something that seems so real and so shocking.
