Today, I had a 5 hour exam. The exam guard had clearly eaten something funky, because she kept burping loudly. When I thought it couldn't get any worse, she started farting. FML

Hi! I'm the OP! Thanks for the comments :) The exam did actually go well, even with the distractions :P The reason nobody said anything was probably because 1) it would be super awkward to sit through the rest of the exam 2) as soon as the test was done, you had to leave the classroom (no talking as it could distract others still taking the test) 3) Talking/laughing/moving could be seen as cheating (and nobody wants to be thrown out of a final test that can only be taken once a year) Everyone was sending eachother "please let this stop"-looks, though XD (The guard on the other hand, was just pretending like nothing)

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume you have no experience with this... An exam guard (we always called them monitors or proctors) basically sit and monitor students when they take an important test, such as AP tests or the SAT. They time the test, make sure the students aren't cheating (through a variety of means) and make sure that the students are in a conducive test taking environment. Very important for those big name tests.

If you're from the states, we use proctor. its the same thing basically.

The teacher is usually nowhere to be found, they don't want to be sitting in front of a bunch of students all thinking "what was this mother f-er thinking when he wrote this f-in test"

I too would have Walked out and complained. I can not work in an environment like that and it's not fair to expect everyone to. Yes it is a natural bodily function, but it's distracting, rude, and disgusting in that capacity.

The test may have been more stressful because of that, but I think she was too embarrassed to think straight FHL
