Today, I had a customer scream, rant, and bitch me out because the pictures she took with her own camera came out blurry. My manager took her side. FML

She's just mad that even the camera doesn't want to see her ugly face.

That "The customer is always right" thing is total bullshit.

that's what happens in retail. it sucks, but "the customer is always right" I hate that myself, it's why I stopped working retail and why I will never own a retail business. I'd be the manager telling the customer she was a dumbfuck

the customer is always right does not apply to all businesses. plenty work with their employees for a safe, harassment free working environment.

well im assuming its film cause customers can do their own with digital so maybe u made them blurry u might need glasses

Your manager prolly just wanted to calm the situation and get the irate customer out of the store. Sometimes you have to take one for the team.. Try working at a gas station sometime, then you will have every right to complain.

that's sad, but it's true. most people who buy cameras now don't know how to use them properly. I've work at the biggest camera retailer in the US and I've sold anything to anyone. Even sold 10k worth of gear to a woman once who can't tell the difference between f stop and shutter speed. if they come to me rude, I'll sell them more stuff. if they're nice, I actually teaches them how to use their gear.

I know all these new cameras with "fantastic" auto modes mean people don't understand how exposure actually works.
