Today, I had a great time with a girl I liked. I asked her out and she said yes. She also said she cuts herself and if I ever broke up with her, I'll be responsible for her death. FML

if she kills herself, it could not possibly in no way shape or form be your fault. she makes her own decisions obviously, sooo... tell her she's crazy and you're not taking responsibility for her actions. and break up with her. now. because she CLEARLY is manipulative as hell, which is not something you want in a relationship.

I am an insensitive jerk. After being in a relationship with a bipolar girl for over a year and (very patiently) dealing with the depression and the cheating resulting from the mania and the cutting because she didn't wanna do her term papers, I don't really care anymore. They all need to stop, one way or another. It's pretty damn annoying.

If she was "just" cutting, I'd say give her a chance. "Cutting" doesn't necessarily make someone crazy. But the fact that she threatened suicide if you leave her... Get out. She might be a good person (who under different circumstances would be an absolutely wonderful girlfriend), but now is not the time. She is clearly not in any place that she can handle a "romantic" relationship. If you can, try to get her some help. It's no fun to feel like a tattle-tale, but someone's life is worth more than your keeping your mouth shut.
