I had to look up what that position was. Not sure why that counts as a "pose" or a "position". You're basically just lying on the floor. Now, with that out of the way, I can actually relate to this quite well. I've had panic attacks come right out of the blue while just looking out my window at the hills. No triggers, no real reason for it, it just happens. Sorry it happened to you while you were in yoga class though, I feel for ya!
wow, you just lie there. what's to panic about? I don't understand how you got through the whole class without freaking out, and then during the most relaxing time..you lose it. haha wierd.
Anxiety disorders aren't a joke. Asshole.
I went to Yoga right after my best friend died in a car accident and I was badly hurt in a different car accident. Same thing happened to me in the exact same position, of course the instuctor put emphasis on the dead body part and imagining becoming part of the earth again. I was 16 and it sent me over the edge, it was my first panic attack. I stopped going to Yoga but picked it up about 3 years later without a problem though, it's very relaxing! Anyways, maybe you should find a different instructor or skip the dead body pose.
