Just play it off like it didn't happen. If he brings it up, or you for some odd reason feel the need to rectify the matter, just say that is was a brainfart. Instinctually, since you are almost never on the phone with people older than you with the exception of your parents, your brain triggered the ILY signal. He'll understand.
great goin
I know how you feel. My entire life I've been taught to tell people "I love you" once were done with a conversation via the telephone or leaving the house or something. I have these monthly Oral Exams with my teachers (over the phone -- virtual school) and I always catch myself right before I say "bye," but last week I told my history teacher "I love you." D:
haha @ #7 :D
I hate it when I do that xD I've done that waaaay too many times to count, considering the #1 person I talk to on the phone is my wife (at least 2-3 times a day) saying "I wuuvvv you" before I hang up the phone has become an unconscious reflex for me Needless to say, I have told me boss, co-workers, and cashiers at stores (while talking to my wife on the phone) that I love them >< OP - I LOVE YOU ; P

oops, you must have been nervous
