Today, I had a plan. I was going to get up early, eat a well balanced breakfast, put on my workout clothes and enjoy this beautiful day with a fulfilling jog. Instead, I put on my workout clothes, spent hours on social media, ate a pizza, and ended up falling asleep on my couch. FML

*couch* I don't think you slept on your coach, I think he would have made you run

Ydi for not having motivation and complaining about it online.

Don't worry. We've all been there one time or another.

Thank you, finally someone admits it. If everyone tracked the time they spent on their phones/social media, they'd quickly see how they're not much different than OP.

So start again tomorrow. Do not look at your computer or phone until you have gone for a jog or whatever exercise you were going to do. Social media can be your reward for getting your workout done.

Actually, she should probably start again today - a lot of the time people put off becoming healthy because 'It's too late now, I'll just have to do it tomorrow' or 'I already ate an unhealthy meal, might as well have some dessert, doesn't matter now' and do the exact same thing the next day. Even if it's already dark outside there is a lot of exercises you can do at home without needing expensive machines.

I think this article would be greatly debated. That's basically saying they key to success is procrastination because it builds anticipation. Doesn't really work in my opinion. The longer you hold off on something, the more excuses you make to hold off on it longer. OP, sometimes it helps if you get help, most people can not get motivated enough on their own to get healthy on their own. I had 3 weeks holiday last fall and got myself a personal trainer. I saw him 12 times in that 3 week period and then twice a week once I went back to work. Yes it cost me money, but it was worth it. By having someone to be accountable to, other than myself, I was able to succeed. I didn't reach my weight goal, but only because I managed to reach another goal that I had been trying for for 7 years prior. Your goals themselves may not be enough motivation. It's okay to admit if you need help.

That is assuming the FML was posted on the same day. I was under the impression that the OP had wasted the entire day putting off exercising. Under that assumption the OP could have written this at night before heading to bed. So me saying start again the next day, like when they get up.

I would just like to say, procrastination and waiting are two different things.

Procrastination is putting something off till later, waiting, is planning to do something later. What's the difference?

maybe she fell asleep while on the coach. . . if you know what I mean ;)

To be honest, I would rather do the same thing then go for a jog. Keep trying and stay motivated though.

There's a handful of apps that temporary block you from going on social media. If you're serious about your health than you might consider that

It's hard to motivate yourself to work out at time, and checking social media for only a few minutes can last hours if you're not careful. You'll be able to make it up in the future, OP.

You're going to need a more positive mindset than this if you want to achieve your goals. You need more belief in yourself.

If you're like me then I really feel bad. It's a mental thing. Like I eat such anxiety. But if you're just lazy....well eat on! Don't let people judge you! Lol.
