Today, I had my first job interview in years. While I was waiting for the manager to come out I realized I had forgotten the resume that I had printed out the night before, since he specifically asked me to bring one. FML

Today, I applied for my first job. I didn't know how to write a resume, so I copied and pasted one from someone else and reworked it. I got on the bus, handed it in, and left. Then I remembered I forgot to change the contact info and date. FML

Today, I went to a job interview. I never applied for the job, they'd sought me out, had a phone interview, and sent samples, all before the face-to-face interview. Turns out none of the people I met with had even read my resume or writing samples. I was told I might not be a good fit. FML

Alright everyone, this site is called "Fmylife" BECAUSE people post stories about how something bad happened that normally does not. Just because this guy forgot his resume DOESN'T mean he always forgets things all the time. It DOESN'T mean that he's irresponible. You guys don't even know this man, you can't judge him. Everybody forgets things sometimes, especially when we're really nervous. Give him a break, jeez.

How is this an FML? You're just plain stupid. Always double-check to make sure you haven't forgotten anything when you're about to go somewhere important. They won't hire you, by the way. YOU: "Oh, yeah, sorry, I wrote up my resume like you asked me to, but I kinda left it at home, soooo...." THEM: "Get out." -_- Fail.
