Serves you right.
Please tell me that's a joke. A really, really bad one.
Give her the boot...
If she was in tears, she probably really regrets what she did, I while I despise cheating, I think if it was only one time it's a little extreme to think of divorce right now. After all we don't know the whole situation, I mean in an extreme case she could have been raped and was just so ashamed that she told OP she cheated on him. While I doubt this was the case, it has been known to happen.
I despise cheating too, but most people who cheat don't cry and aren't regretful unless they get caught. OPs wife on the other hand voluntarily came forward almost immediately afterwards, which makes me think there is more to the story. I don't think this is something that should be an end to a marriage if this is something they can work out. After all plenty of men cheat on their wives and people tell them to work it out, but god forbid a woman cheats on her husband one time and everyone tells him to leave her. It's a double standard, and while no one should cheat on their significant other, infidelity will always be around and men and women deserve the same treatment if they cheat. Women shouldn't be told to stand by their cheating husbands if men are told to dump their cheating wives.
And he shouldn't, she did break her vows. But too many marriages end in divorce because people won't take the time to fix whatever went wrong and would rather take the easier way out. She is human and we don't know what exactly happened, for all we know she took pain meds and was completely out of it and thought the plumber was her husband until she sobered up. We really don't know, and I think everyone deserves the benefit of doubt if it only happened once. But if it happens several times that person has to go, no excuses and no benifits.
frizz101, you're right, we dont know what ekse is going on, which means NEITHER DO YOU, so stop trying to make excuses for the ****. 'she could have been on pain meds'?? thats the stupidest thing i've ever heard. she's a ****, and i'd feel the same way if he had cheated on her
Did you at least get a discount?
she propositioned the plumber in the short time that he was there to repair your stuff?! that's crazy, sorry op :( hopefully you'll find better

At least she was honest and told you immediately instead of covering it up for months or years.
