Today, I had to explain to my 35-year-old husband that "Honda" and "Hyundai" are two separate car companies, not to two different pronunciations of the same one. FML

Well I don't really blame him. I did think that too when I was about 5 years old.

man card revoked! all guys need to know cars!

Please ask him to turn in his Man Card at the front desk on the way out the door.

you picked him! I hope he's a pretty good trophy husband if not your kids will be ugly and dumb!.....

Because mixing up two car companies means that someone is both ugly and dumb... your logic here astounds me

I feel as though he would not be the only one. People always ask what kind of car my Genesis is. Granted, it sports wing badges instead of the typical Hyundai "H".

You don't have a husband. You have a wife.

when I was doing my music gcse I had the same argument with my then boy friend and music teacher . my final peice of music was named Honda isn't hyundai. just so they had to write it on every copy of my work

Well, the symbols are similar, and the names are sort of similar. I could see this happening if he wasn't a car guy. He probably didn't pay it too much attention before.

Two different countries and two different languages, even.

After my Craigslist Honda broke down, I wound up buying a Hyundai. Best car I've had.
