Or let him drink and drive? That would be the cool thing to do
Or: option 3: Call the cops, let them know he is drinking and driving and let him deal with some actual consequences. Seriously! I get wanting to protect your family but unless you plan on spending the rest of your life being his personal taxi, he will drink and drive. If you think he is staying home and sober when you aren't around you are deluding yourself. Enabling him only guarantees that it will get far far worse before it gets better. You should be thinking about only two things right now. 1: Do you want him deal with a drunk driving charge now? Or 2: Do you want to keep enabling him until one day he gets into an accident and possibly kills someone meaning a drunk driving charge and other more serious charges.
study while you are waiting for your dad!
Why not do both! What a good idea!
That does sucks... well he's ur dad u shld talk to him and make him realize that when he drinks he shld call cab instead of taking the car or he shld drink home, call his buddies if any home otherwise u won't be able to focus on ur studies and it might hurt ur future .... I hope he'll understand .... btw really glad to see that there r still some good kids who really care about their family... good luck
Philip Gallagher ?
let him take the keys. watch him get in the car and take off. then call police telling them that an extremely intoxicated person just got in a vehicle. give him your dad's license plates and model
Give him some horse tranquilizer.
Or you take the keys and he can stay home or walk to the pub/ bar
not a good situation but letting him drink n drive isn't really an option in my opinion...

Buy some booze, stay at home and have a drunken study session with the old man!
Sounds like you need to consult somebody you trust, OP. This is serious.
