Kinetics, is a s'mores recipe on a cereal box dynamics, the bear will fly, but how far?
I'm sorry OP, sometimes we get a teacher like that! I had a teacher in 10th grade who didn't really explain much about Physics, so I studied by the book and with study groups with friends. YDI for not doing anything about it! Your teacher won't care, you were SUPPOSED to study.
Maybe the midterm is written by your teacher, then it will be on s'mores and exploding gummy bears. Good luck!
I haven't met a good physics teacher yet. Mine is the same. Luckily I found information on the exam online and revised for it that way.
Well, kinetics is the study of rates of chemical reactions, so perhaps he was using these as examples to demonstrate how a marshmallow burns, chocolate melts and a gummy bear explodes - all are quantifiable chemical reactions...

Go grab your textbook and study s'more.
On the bright side : you now know how to make gummy bears explode
