Today, I heard two of my students having a conversation. One asked what state Arizona was in, and the other replied Canada. I teach sixth grade social studies and they weren't joking. FML

these ppl are who we will depend on when we are older. future presidents of the united states. i bet if u ask them how many rounds per clip per weapon in halo not one will be wrong.

And it didn't cross your mind to explain it? I mean please share your name and what school you teach at so that no one else will place kids in your stupid class. You're part of the problem, if you must know.

You should be more ashamed of yourself than them. They're 11, and in America. Most American teachers suck, and are usually the bottom of their college classes... So, make up for the difference by trying harder. Those poor kids need your help. Social studies is a boring class that no one cares to take. Make it interesting, and call people out for their stupidity. You can do this by calling out test scores, and by praising the A/B students once a week, and telling the C students to up their study time. Any student that isn't mentioned, will obviously have a low mark, and will be embarrassed
