I hope your mum found something to laugh about in this situation.
lol
this is one of the best fmls I have read
You're a bitch for giving out fake numbers. But the guys an absolute creep for trying to send pictures like that to someone he just met.
Some guys feel that, if he gives any indication that he's interested in a girl, she's obligated to agree to see him again. It's like the whole "free drinks" thing; if a guy buys a few shots for a girl he likes, she's "supposed" to pay him back with mutual interest, or, in some cases, a one-night stand. These are the same guys that think drinks and "doing the girl a favor" by noticing her count as currency for sex.
I usually just walk away but I've been called a bitch for saying no. Some guys are assholes and don't like being rejected.
I wouldn't think she's a bitch for saying no. But giving false hope by pretending to give out her number is a bitchy thing to do
The thing is women don't do it to be bitchy, they do it to avoid abuse. I've never had this happen because I don't go clubbing, but that's what I've gathered from people's responses here. People go out to have fun, they don't want to have that ruined by creepy people yelling at them for saying they aren't interested which apparently happens often.
I've been rejected loads before, I just say sorry for bothering them and leave.
These are the same guys that complain about the "friend zone" how the "crush"/" love of their life" never notices them". When I first heard of of the "friend zone" I couldn't believe younger guys were actually using that. No one is obligated to return romantic feelings and the notion that you can change their mind or that somehow being friends is seen as them having failed at getting them is terrible.
On a completely unrelated note, the 8th is my birthday too!
You're right. That was unrelated. As such you may want to consider keeping it to yourself next time. Thanks.
I facepalmed myself so hard I fell out of my chair while reading this comment.
I know that there are going to be a whole slew of comments saying "You're a bitch for giving them fake numbers! You should have just said no!" The problem is that with a lot of guys you can't just say no. They will push and persist and guilt and harass you into giving them your number. Studies have actually shown that guys are more likely to leave a girl alone if she says that she has a boyfriend than if she says she's not interested and even then a lot of guys will say "well your boyfriend isn't here now is he?" While it must suck for decent guys to get fake numbers you must understand that there is a good reason for girls to do this.
forgive the intrusion but it sounds like you have had an awful guy experience. I hope that changes for the better my south African friend
Did you bother to read what I wrote at all? The problem isn't that I can't say no. The problem is that some guys don't listen no matter how much I insist that I'm not interested. And here's the kicker, if I were to call security or kick him in the balls or whatever then I would be the bitch because the poor guy was just trying his luck and I should have just said no if I wasn't interested. I can say no in several different languages and until I'm blue in the face but some guys STILL won't listen.
This is one of the very few times that being straightforward with a guy doesn't pay off, unfortunately. Not all guys are willing to move on after only one "No, thanks" once they've invested their interest in a girl; some perceive it as playing hard-to-get, or think, "Damn, I thought [girl + alcohol = sex] every time!" Whether it's blatant stubbornness or a guy's attempt to avoid embarrassment, it's annoying having to involuntarily babysit a guy who won't leave you alone.
39/49, it's great that you take "not interested" at face value, but as you've hopefully figured out by now, not all guys do. Maybe instead of getting pissed at us women for taking what is sometimes the only safe course of action, you could try telling other men that no means no.
think about the poor asshole who now gets a random dick pick. women that do that shit are just non confrontational people that do passive aggressive shit to "solve" their problems to both men and woman that can't say no and get guilted into it grow a pair. its not attractive. you aren't responsible for your own mental faculties ? is that the point you are trying to make? if so great job !!!!
All I see in this thread are privileged dudes who have no idea who terrifying it can be to just BE a woman. Sometimes you can't even enjoy a night out with friends without being harassed. But mine of you have ever experienced that so you're completely ignorant to what that can do to a person. I bet you blame rape victims for not standing up for themselves, too.
Next time, give the number of one of your male friends so he replies them accordingly. (another pic lol)
hmm. a stranger has sent me his official proof of penis paper work, I had better send mine back! is that how you see that going down?
for those people commenting that she should've just said no and not given a number, you've obviously never been in a normal club where things like pepper spray aren't allowed and boys can be persistent, and even intimidating, as hell. what if she said no to one of those drunk boys and he ended up getting violent with her? once a boy asked for my number and then rang it on the spot to make sure it really was mine.
Too many guys cross the line nowadays, I feel bad for girls who have to deal with this shit. It almost makes me feel bad to be a guy. The clubs I have been too don't check you for anything, many of the people are high as a kite using drugs the entire night.
I was once downright forced to give my number to a guy at a club. My boyfriend had left to use the bathroom, and I was alone waiting for him when all of a sudden a huge guy comes along: he stood right in front of me, way too close so I could "admire" how big and scary he was, and he asked for my number in a flat, aggressive tone. "Uuh sorry, but I'm not here alone..." With the creepiest voice he just replied "I said 'give me your number'. I had nowhere to go. My boyfriend was taking ages to do his business in the toilet, and mr Giant was really intimidating. I ended up having to give him my real number (the dude insisted on calling it right in front of me to make sure I didn't give him a fake one), and only then did he leave. People don't realize how often things like this happen, and how scary and frustrating it is to deal with men like this. Women who give out fake numbers are rarely doing it just for the sake of being mean!
I know how you feel, 59. The same thing happened to me a few years back. The main difference was, instead of one guy, it was a group of four. They weren't body builders or anything, but they kept pressing me to "go home" with them. When I told them I was with my boyfriend (who was in the bathroom also), they didn't buy it, of course. I had to beat around the bush for a minute or two, and my boyfriend was, for lack of better terminology, quite irate when he came out and saw them eyeing me.
maybe she would have thought that its your dad new number

a guy sent me a pic once, I couldn't open it, so I gave to my father. it was a penis too...
Because "no" is met with "why not?" "Don't be a bitch" "just give me a chance" "******* **** I bet you gave it out to very one else you just don't want to admit you're a *****" "frigid bitch I was tryina be nice see what that gets me?" And so on and so forth?
