Today, I just bought a car with all of my own money. Then, when I brought it home my dad informed me that my mom will be driving it to work every day. FML

is this just a temporary thing where moms car broke down and out won't b ready for a week. I'm guessing ur working. like after school maybe. so u still will get to use it. honestly they prolly need moms salary to support the household. soo yes it sucks but it may be out of necessity good luck sweetie

uhm, no way. you legally own the car, YOUR name is on the deed. report it to the cops. or else make her pay for all the insurance and gas. and refuse to let her use it when you need it, I assume she's been able to get to work just fine already. lock the key up and keep the key to the lock in your pants or something.

If my father would tell me that, I would leave laughing. Just because he and my mother didn't let me to drive their car before.

You bought a car but still live with your parents?

Is that an unusual situation where you live? It's VERY common here..

If you're the only name on the lien/title, then that's called theft.

Then you tell your dad that you're driving his car to work everyday

Time to move out. Hurry, before they say they own you too!
