@xsw33tyx101: they're fleas...not deadly germs. OP doesn't have to throw anything out. Everything just has to be carefully washed is all.
You don't have to throw anything out! Washing the sheets normally should take care of everything. Any fleas that survive the washing will fry to death in the dryer! If you REALLY want Bloodsucker Genocide, wash your sheets with flea shampoo to kill all the eggs (first, wash some old cleaning rag you don't care about in the shampoo, to make sure the shampoo won't damage your sheets). Just one of the minor nuisances we put up with for the love of our kitties. :o)
They didn't jump from the cat to your bed, they probably were already there and the eggs hatched. If the infestation is that big I suggest a flea bomb and then a second three days later to kill any lingering eggs. But read about the bomb carefully. I thikn you have to vacate for a certain amount of time.
So you stalk them? I see.

I think you need to find a different flea medicine for your cat. And maybe you should buy yourself a flea collar.
they'll die quickly from the lack of blood - any medicine that killed the fleas immediately would also have significant danger of killing you cat pretty quickly too (why most vets only sell Advantage). And regardless of what flea meds you use, you were going to have to wash your bedding and vaccuum the floor anyway so no biggie. Plus human blood kills fleas so any that bit you are dead by now
