Taking half their dose would still leave them in pain though, as someone who's been on morphine for several years they need to either wait for their body to adjust, as vomiting and nausea are normal side effects at first, or if the nausea persists after a while then speak to their doctor about switching to something like oxycodone.

Time for a new painkiller. I am allergic to Vicodin too (I'm allergic to all the good painkillers fml) you should have your doctor perscribe you a new one.
Nausea is unlikely to be an allergy.
