take the full dosage it'll give you an excuse to eat more
It means you're allergic to the medication. I had the same problem when I had my wisdom teeth pulled. See your doc for new meds.
Nausea is not a symptom of an allergy to Vicodin. It's a common dude effect of the body getting used to the pain killers, it should subside shortly. It's nothing unusual or to be particularly worried about. If it persists longer than a month then they could talk to their dr about switching meds.
Better go ask Dr Cuddy for something different
What about taking half of the dosage?
Coming from another person who takes prescription pain meds, cut the pills in half and only take half if you can. Typically heating pads or a hot shower will work wonders and Motrin can help out too. Not a medical professional but these all work for me. (My nerves think I have broken ribs all day every day.)
R.i.p Dr. Home, aka op
You should probably switch pain meds

And then you learned that there's other kinds of painkillers
Vicodin isn't the only PK there is. See your doc for something else.
