Today, I learned that if you're going to tell your mother you are gay, make sure she isn't holding a frying pan filled with hot grease. FML

I really don't think he (OP) really cares that much that he was injured. Although it may bother him that hot grease was thrown at him, and almost definitely left a burn, I would almost guarantee that he cares more that his mother, whom he loves, is so uncomfortable with the fact that he is gay, that she would be moved to violent acts upon his person. I am not sure how much a lawsuit would ease any tension the family may face. A talk, love, and time is really the best solution.

Allmidnight, you're just making an assumption to fill your agenda. I'm pretty sure if sexual orientation was scientfically proven to be determined before birth, the public would have the slightest ******* knowledge of it.

I already apologized for posting without thinking it through, it was my own mistake.

You're overestimating the intelligence of society by quite a bit.

So, if I get this straight, there has been no proof of sexual orientation being determined before birth because the public hasn't heard? *Cough Cough* bullshit*cough cough* Sorry, I have a cold. Anyway, here is my rant on why gays and lesbians don't have a choice. There was a boy, whose name I cannot recall, who had a brother. This boy loved playing with barbie dolls and other "girl" things, while his brother did things that you would expect from a five year old, like playing with power rangers or dinosaurs. The boy had an unusually high-pitched voiced compared to all other males he knew. He was raised in a Southern Baptist home, taught to think gays are abominable. This boy grew up normally except for the things above, until the age of twelve. He started having feelings for guys and tried everything he could on his own to stop it. He stayed up all night using hypnosis methods he found online. When he was thirteen, he told his parents and they promply sent him to a christian psychiatrist to be "fixed". He underwent shock therapy, intense bible, studies and various methods that seem to resemble medevil cures. The therapy continued until age fifteen. He continued feeling attraction to males, but the therapy continued, making him feel dirty and disgusting. It became to much for his confused mind, raging with hormones and being told he was a hell-bound abomination; he committed suicide from depression by hanging himself. Do you seriously think that that boy would go through hell and then some just because he wanted to rebel or because he is evil? *cough cough*bullshit*cough cough* Oh, sorry, I still have that cold /rant end/

Ugghh, that story... and so many like it. Religion can be a really shitty thing sometimes. ... That's putting it pretty lightly, eh? Like trying to call black gray.

...this literately made my jaw drop.

#65&#57.........you cant just "beat" the gay out of someone, or just "stop" being gay. There are people who are bi-sexual, and go back and forth. but you dont choose who you are sexually attracted to. dont you think if people could stop being gay, they would? homosexuality is discriminated against....would people really choose to be discriminated against everyday of their life??? and #71......omg! because some people are gay it doesnt mean that everyone in the world will one day be homosexual and humans will be extinct. homosexuals may not be able to have their own children, but they do adopt children in need. which in my personal opinion is very brave and amazing. all the haters(and everyone else) should check out this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P601_LU0j1Y

Wait, why the hell am I being included in this? I haven't said a single thing about "beating the gay out of someone"

LOL. Beat the gay out of someone sounds like euphemism for gay sex. To me anyway, but then i'm messed up. Mmm... AME, I'd love to beat the gay -into- you baby.

Whatever it takes to burn the gay out of you. Hot grease, molten metal, a burly convict's hot semen, etc.

Uh well she shouldn't throw grease on you but the Bible does say homosexuality is an abomination along with about 30 other verses commanding you to not be gay. And well since this will turn into a theology debate... Show me one instance where the Bible is wrong... And I'll show you someone who's messed up and wrong. 8^)

Levitical law does not apply to anything outside of the times when Leviticus was written. Your argument is flawed. The bible mentions homosexuality less than 10 times, and a lot of the time, it's often misconstrued by readers who don't read the surrounding context. Sodom and Gomorrah? They weren't smitten because they were being gay, it was due to their indulging in selfish personal desires rather than follow God's will. Leviticus? Again, that only applied to the people of THAT time. I'm pretty sure both Jesus and Paul in the New Testament say that the Holiness Code does not apply to the new times. I could go into a lot more detail and write a ******* essay on this, but you're not worth my time. The Bible is a book about God, not human sexuality, now STFU.

LMAO. Commanding him not to be gay? I'm sorry. Since when can a book COMMAND people to do anything? Thats one freaky ass book if it can do that. Idk i just picture you opening the book and a deep voice say "I COMMAND YOU NOT TO BE GAY MOFO." Why is it that with everyone of these posts, some dumbass like you needs to bring up religion. NOT EVERYONE FOLLOWS YOUR RELIGION.SO STOP FORCING IT ON PEOPLE. And i'm sorry, but the bible was wrong. Snakes can't talk. >:(

Scrantoncity 0

Wow 103... Ya it definitely says that. Well see the book doesn't "COMMAND" him to be straight but God certainly does. And for all of you who say it involves whatever somehow not meaning don't be homosexual, have you even read these verses? Seriously you have no clue what you're trying to argue just learn what you're talking about then try to debate with me. And uh well it was a snake controlled by the devil... I'm pretty sure Satan can get a snake to talk and in Revelation it mentions the ancient dragon and snake being the same people. And both of those refer to Satan, or the devil, or Lucifer. How Eve isn't surprised by the talking snake is beyond me though lol.

sorry wrong thread uh somehow glitched meant to reply to my own thread about the dude who says a book cant command

ob93 0

hey idiot, its called a troll. don't feed it. and guess what? not all those verses are literal. most of the stories of the old testament and then revelations are metaphorical. why not actually question and learn about something instead of blindly following it?

fyi, most of those bible verses about homosexuality are mixed in with verses endorsing slavery.

#101, uh well Romans 1:27 says "men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence [sic] of their error which was meet." And Leviticus does apply, just not the foods because Jesus said "what goes into the mouth is not what makes a man unclean, what comes out, that's what makes a man unclean." And many other verses argue against homosexuality, i'll look them up if you want me to.

1 John 4:18-There is no love in fear Luke 1:50-And his mercy is for those who fear himfrom generation to generation. Deuteronomy 6:5-You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, with your whole soul, and with all your mind” Matthew 5:17-20 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."

so if levitical law is still in place, lets not eat shellfish. we can have slaves. or lets not bullshit ourselves, and realize not everything from the Bible applies today. and this is from a practicing catholic. and someone brought up a good point: if it's love, how is it a sin? aren't we commanded to love? and its not against nature, because there are some animals that have homosexual behaviors.

The bible says you should beat your wife and sit on the roof of your house afterwards to reflect on why you beat your wife. The bible says that someone called Noah (this story is a stolen mesapotamian myth by the way) built an arch and put two of every animal in it to avoid the great flood. Jesush was probably real, and was probably just an awesome socialist that got sodomized by the church to turn him into what they wanted. I would pull up appropriate verses and such, but I lack the inclination. DrunkenValor 4:33 "I am right, I am always right. Question this and burn in sober hell for all eternity."

That's horrible and shame on all of you who are anti-gay, what did they ever do to hurt you? Shame on all of you who put YDI. I hope others judge you just as harshly as you judge them.
