Today, I learned that "Je suis excité" does not mean "I'm excited" in French. It means "I'm sexually excited"... more or less. I've been doing a lot of exciting things and using it a lot the past two weeks. With my French friends, people I meet, and especially with my host family. FML

Don't worry... I'm a native French speaker, and "je suis excité" isn't that bad and can be used with non-sexual things as well

Hahaha, they must think you have some great fun ;D

I'm fluent in French. It can also mean "I'm excited," not necessarily "I'm horny"

that's a lie, I'm french, it can be overly happy, but not sexually. ydi cause ur a ******.

I'm fluent in french, I've been living in Quebec most of my life....it means what you thought it did, though it can also mean horny in certain situations.

Actually, in romance languages the word "excited" is used mostly as a substitute for "aroused". It can just mean ecstatic, happy, but it's a word that should be avoided. I can understand the confusion, but still... YDI.

Haha did you go with Student Exchange Australia?? they said all the semester programs left two weeks ago

My friend did that too! In canada, it tends to just mean i'm excited, so she did the same thing when she went to France

hahahahaha YDi for saying stuff you dont understand

it means the same thing everywhere je suis exiter=im excited. nothing sexual.unless you say it like that.

ok... really it's not that bad i mean you can say "je suis excité" meaning that you're excited about something and not just sexual you know. I speak french and really.... unless you said it randomely out of nowhere with a sexy voice you don't have to worry so much

''Je suis excité'' can mean a lot of things as: ''I'm excited'', ''I'm horny'', ''I'm nervous'', ''I'm agitated'', etc. A lot of people like to think that the persone is horny , in the first place, though.
