Today, I learned that my brakes don't work anymore on my bike. When did I learn this? While speeding down a really steep hill. FML

Let's just hope that your bike is going so fast that it begins to fly like E.T.

On the bright side, you're still alive to share the story..

YDI. Keep to the side of the road and coast...

Are you stupid? The hill is still there on the side of the road. Going full speed down a hill on the side of the road and not being able to stop is very dangerous; I would know. My brakes have snapped while going down a 1 mile long hill at a 6% grade. Fortunately, I was able to place my feet in between the frame and the tire to stop before crossing a busy highway at 40 mph.

and that's why you should never speed!!

Put your foot on your back tire next time, just as good as any brakes.

that's why you do brake checks either way, that sucks, at least you're still alive to tell us about it

Yo dawg, I heard you like braking. So, we put a brake in your brake so you can break while you brake.

this happened to me once, although i wasnt lucky as you....slammed into an oncoming car, thank god he was going 5mph in a residential area.

Next time Jam your foot in between the front wheel and forks and lean forward, this will stop you safely and quickly. Try it!
