idk how it is where you live, but im pretty sure here youre on a sort of probationary period right after you get your license and youre supposed to have a licensed driver over 21 in the car with you for 6 months... if thats not how they do it there then maybe they should...
You must not of caught his sarcasm
I got my license a few months ago and I'm not even allowed to take my dad's car around the BLOCK by myself... you let him take it just after getting his license? sorry OP but ydi. just because you get your license as a teen, doesn't always mean youre exactly ready to take on the road by yourself. my brother wasnt allowed to drive alone until he had his license for nearly a year. pigs would fly before i took my dad's car out by myself tomorrow...
The day I got my license my mom and I pulled into the driveway and I said "Okay I'm going out for awhile" she was totally fine with it. Now I'm not sure how getting licensed works where OP is, but for where I live it means you take a written test, get a permit for 6 months, a provisional license at 17 (with strict rules; you can't drive between 11 PM and 6 AM and you can't have more than one non-family member in the car with you), and after a year your full license. So for us, if at that point you still can't be trusted to drive on your own, you probably shouldn't be driving at all any time soon.
97, are you talking about an actual license or a learner's permit? Because I can't think of anywhere in the world you can get a license without passing a road test. If you can pass your test, you should be able to drive a car around the block without wrecking it.
No twitter: "Just cruzin thru da hood. Ahh!! #tree #boom #yolo"
Driving standards are different around the world. Here in Asia, they literally give ANYONE a license as long as you pay the registration fee. The written exam is a joke and don't even hold practicals. I doubt that if you ask people about the traffic rules they could answer correctly.
Should've moved to Europe...can't drive till 18 ;)
How did he total it?! And hopefully he's ok!
Ydi for raising a moron

And this is why auto insurance rates for teenagers are so much higher than for adults. Because, in general, they're idiots.
I hope he at least isn't hurt?! Sorry OP, you can always replace a car.
