Today, I lied to my crush telling him I can play the piano. To 'prove' it, I recorded a video on my phone of a girl playing a beautiful piece. After I sent it, I realized my mouse cursor was in the center of the page the entire time. FML

why would you lie about something like that? Oh, I know, because he would NEVER find out about it of course when he would go to your place and ask you to play a piece. -next time when you lie about something make sure nobody can find out now or later YDI

even if u didn't have the cursor show in the video, and the guy was coming to ur house, he would see u don't have a piano or the same piano in the video :) just being critical

Wait, so you opened a video of somebody else playing a piano on your computer (likely youtube or something), you placed the cursor in the middle of the video, took your phone and recorded a video of this video? And you thought a) he wouldn't notice it was someone else playing, b) he wouldn't notice a slight bit of frame around you youtube video when your hand moved slightly (or terrible quality if you full-screened the vid), and c) the very obvious color distortion you get when viewing an LCD monitor up close through a camera (or even worse flickering through a CRT), and of course d) the mouse cursor? ...Idiot.

I would probably say the FML is just badly worded and what they meant was, they recorded a youtube video with some recording software, left the cursor in the middle of the video, editted the recording... and transferred it onto their phone. It's what I'd have done anyway, had I suddenly had the to urge to do something like this. Also, there's a 300 character limit on the FMLs, so I'm assuming this is a poorly shortened version of what I described. But then, the OP may never have thought of that and actually recorded their computer with their phone. >_< I dunno, it's unclear. @OP Could you not just make up some excuse about having to upload it to your computer? Like you had to edit a section of the recording and then you had to use recording software, rather than the Publish function in WMM (or whatever) as it doesn't work properly on your computer? Aaaah, I'm over-thinking this. It's only an FML (and a definite YDI).

Sorry but you should NEVER fake it that you play the piano. playing the piano is a real skill. I'm a real piano player and I take that offencively.
