Today, I told my boyfriend I wouldn't be able to get any time off work to go to Mexico with him, and that we'd have to get our tickets refunded, and reschedule. He said not to bother, and that he already had someone else in mind to take with him. FML

Today, my long distance friend-with-benefits informed me she's now in a relationship with an amazing guy. I should be happier for her, as even I admit he is perfect for her. Too bad I just spent over a thousand dollars on plane tickets to visit her. The tickets are completely nonrefundable. FML

Today, I had to cancel a plane ticket to a friend's wedding, because first he gave me the wrong date, after which his fiancée cut me from the guests because of Covid safety. Instead of paying $600 to be in the ceremony, I'm paying $400 to not go anywhere because the ticket could only be partially refunded. FML

Today, I found out the time I'd requested off for a trip in 2 months, that my boss said that I could go on, wasn't fully processed, just in case he decided I couldn't go. He told me the second part after I'd bought no refund tickets for shows for both me and my girlfriend. FML

After surprise someone with tickets to Jamaica, and being called fat and ditched over a Quidditch game I'm almost sure that being an awful person doesn't make this any less than a FML. Besides if we were to assume that everyone who shares an FML is an awful person the ydi would be the only option. fyl OP get better and win Jamaica in a bikini :D

Personally, I would have been left with ONE non refundable ticket. If he's too damn stupid to go then **** it! Offer it to a friend who pays the change of info fee and they still have a great deal. Don't let him ruin it. He's obviously I huge twat!
