Some pizzerias have pizzas in back that are either screw-ups or cancelled orders. Usually the staff eats them, but I imagine if you explained your situation after asking if they do indeed have any extra pizzas, they'd probably give you a slice or two. I used to do that for a homeless man that used to hang around the pizza place I used to work at. Nobody minded.

You should have taken it to Olive Garden and asked to be seated while you "wait for your friends". Eat the basket of bread and then start crying and say your friends stood you up and leave.
