Generally towels are not only $2, even at wal-mart. How does other people's poverty anger you? And it doesn't necessarily mean they didn't have towels, they may just have had a couple of towels, and they were dirty or washing or something.

As 32 stated, towels aren't generally 2$ but even if they were, it's still possible to be so broke that you have to decide whether that money is better spent on towels or food. What I don't understand is how someone else's misfortune would anger you.

Maybe they had to chose between buying a towel, or paying for the water bill so they could actually take a shower, some people don't have a spare $2 after bills and such.
