my name means sup planter in japanese
Since you will be saying it with an accent I'm sure people will get the idea.
What exactly does singing have to do with pronunciation? Do you expect him to greet everyone in song? Now that would be hilarious. :D
If your name becomes any trouble, I´d suggest going by a different name when traveling abroad. Do you have a middle name? That would probably work well. Or, you could just invariably introduce yourself by your full name. That´s all I´ve got.
Be glad your name is not "Shit-For-Brains" from New Jersey.
could be worse. i personally know a norwegian guy named svein. and yes, it is pronounced like "swine".
#82 No, it's not.
Actually... It's not....
Not so bad. Could be a lot more unfortunate. If you're worried about it, while you're there, you could just pronounce it as something closer to Bard. I'm affraid that a lot of people are probably going to pronounce it like that anyway after reading it.
I'm sure they'll catch on if you have an accent... Unless you are in banking. Then you're ******.

"May name is Bård." Problem solved.
So then why didn't your parents consider Mandarin Chinese? Or why won't you consider Mandarin when naming your children, #27?
