Today, I'm travelling to England for an important meeting. I'm Norwegian, and my name is Bård. I have to introduce myself as "bored" the whole day, because that's how my name is pronounced. FML

So then why didn't your parents consider Mandarin Chinese? Or why won't you consider Mandarin when naming your children, #27?

Hahah, evig eid! .. Anyways, nå skal jeg bytte navn til bård :]

It happens... One of my client's was name Taavi and I kept thinking it was a girl when we e-mailed eachother, until we spoke on the phone and I found out Taavi was a guy! His name was Swedish but to me, an English speaker, it sounded like a girl's name...

could be worse your name could b cåck såcker

haha that's funny! but that's not really a problem... and LMFAO at "cåck såcker" in the comment above!

just use your firstname too. "Hi, I'm Jonathan Bored." Don't like your last name? spend the money to get it changed.

Dude, an odd name is awesome. Instant conversation piece.

Haha Bard there will be so much banter in the meeting. I'm from England and trust me when i say there will be someone in the meeting who takes the piss out of your name, most of us are very immature !

Oh, Bård. I find that rather amusing actually, and I think that makes you more interesting that A LOT of people out there. It's not half as bad as "Phở King Noodles" or "Poo Ping Thai."

i think your name is nice! men tenk om navnet ditt var Randi...?
