Turn off the channel or get off the bed. Don't be lazy or cheap, next time do a little research and maybe spend a little more for better quality.
Oh the irony
Well, educate yourself. At least you're aware of potential problems. I learnt about how some hotel bedbugs crawl into people's luggage when they put their suitcases on the beds while gathering their clothes to pack. Those stowaway can then infest their home. :O
In this report, even the more upscale hotels had these problems. I once stayed in the worst hotel ever! I was vacationing in Disney and thought "Hey, why get an expensive room, all I'm going to do is sleep?" All the other hotels were booked and I was stuck in an ant infested room. Wouldn't even sleep under the covers. You don't know what you're getting until you check in. :P
I didn't. What could I get besides a free night's stay. No thanks. :P
@41 I work at a high end hotel and even we have had a case or two. What a lot of people don't realize is that the guests themselves can bring the bedbugs into the hotel with them, although that's not always the case. The bugs can live in wood and I've also heard stories of people bringing home bedbugs from wooden luggage holders. (I'm glad ours are metal)
if only there was some device which allowed you to change the channel...
I've always wanted to take a bath in the giant bath tubs in hotels but never do because of all the disgusting germs.
#46, their bathtubs probably get cleaned more regularly than the toilet you have at home.
I have OCD and I never touch ANYTHING in hotel rooms. Especially not the beds. I either bring an air mattress or my own sheets, pillows and blankets. I then get rid of them or wash then vigorously afterwards... And my family thinks Im ******* crazy...
At times it's good for a little thieves oil on the sheets it kills all germs and if has a decent scent...

Oh the instant irony! Haha. Time for some hand sanitizer and a shower.
Reality TV always over-exaggerates every situation to gain views. You'll be fine sleeping in a hotel bed one night.
