Today, I heard that there was supposed to be a huge blizzard heading our way, so I went out to stock up on groceries. After spending $600 on food, I drove home and packed most of it into the fridge and freezer just in time for our power to go out. FML

Today, my power went out due to a huge snow storm. I was in desperate need of candles and flashlights. I had to walk to the store since the roads were closed. I walked 4 miles in the blizzard. When I got home, the power came back on. FML

Today, there was a power outage at my apartment. I ended up deciding that the power wasn't going to come on any time soon, and that I should go to a hotel for the night. Just after I unpacked at the hotel, my neighbor called to say the power had come back. FML

Today, during a storm-related power failure, I jerry-rigged an inverter from my car to supply the essentials. In doing so, I managed to blow up the fridge, smoke and all. The power came back on 5 minutes later. FML

Eh, he is not necessarily stupid. Maybe he wasn't in the mood for any of the foods he could eat. I'm picky enough with food where if there is nothing I want to eat, I just won't eat (especially if I already had a specific meal planned).

Maybe it was reworded to suit the FML audience...not that I personally submitted it and know how ridiculously reworded it was or anything. Maybe originally it said 'convinced' over 'forced' and there was another choice presented and the other food choice was one that didn't require an oven which is why I thought it was an FML moment. I meant, why OP thought so. That's definitely not the case...no, not at all... OH WAIT. IT IS.

After the ice storm a few years ago there was no power here for up to three weeks for some folks. Everybody in this area that did not have family that had generators or in a different town to go and stay with had to get creative. Suck it up.
