Today, I met a cute girl at a dance club. I entered her number in my phone just before she left the club. With a proud smile, I turned the screen towards my buddy, showing off my accomplishment. Attempting to give me a friendly pat he accidentally closed my phone. I hadn't saved the number. FML

Well, at least you learned that next time you should save the number before you go bragging about it.

YDI for not saving it before showing him. Pretty simple so stuff like that doesn't happen.

how did he close your phone? like, is it a flip phone that turns off as soon as you shut it? as far as I know most phones need to have the power button held down for a short time to turn it off...

Hah, I'm going to say you deserve it for thinking it was more important to brag about it than to actually, y'know, keep your mind on what was actually important in the situation.

Get over it? You lost a random girls number who you don't know? There are worse things in the world you know....

Ahahahahaha, your fault I guess for trying to pick up girls at a club. But she's not the only girl in the world. And besides, you might see her again next week, or meet someone else. =p

libbypotpie , this would make an awesome music video! Oh, and in case you are in doubt check the "Literal Versions" on YouTube ;)

#34 took the words right out of my mouth. I call shenanigans.

#40, OP didn't say his phone had turned off. If it's a flip phone, and when you close it, it generally won't save the number. My stepdad's phone does though.... He has a little option on his where you can click "Notepad" in one of the menu options and it shows the most recent number you put in, regardless of whether or not you called it.

#36 So you are another douchebag eagerly awaiting the worst tragedies? ********** to the pictures of Abu Ghureib if that turns you on! I really hate these perverts who'll always complain that the FML is too harmless. Jeez...
