Today, I met a really cute guy at work. He asked for my number, and I wrote it down on a piece of paper. After looking at the paper, he crumpled it up, yelled "Do you think I'm stupid? I know the rejection hotline when I see it", and walked away. It was my real phone number. FML

You should've picked up the work phone, dialed the number you wrote down and showed him your cell phone as it rang. lol

I'm split on this one. If he really thought it was the rejection hotline, then he's a dumb jackass. However, I find it hard to believe he really thought it was the rejection hotline. If he truly yelled it out loud, especially in a crowd, then I think he might just have been screwing with you to get a laugh. If I saw that happening in a public place, I probably would have laughed, and then commented about what a bitch you were. Maybe he has ulterior motives for his behavior? So if he thought it was the rejection hotline, he's a dumbass. If he was just goofing, it's kinda funny. It makes him a jerk, but a funny one!

i think he was doing it for jokes. work is boring unless people create entertainment. that's just how i see it.

ha - i like that some people are all explain it to him - yeah that wouldnt have looked desperate - you running after the guy instead of just letting him go. key words here - he walked away.

someone has a serious lack of confidence, sheet even if i thought it was the rejection hotline i would have called just to see which rejection it was.

maybe he was just playing with you. he probably didn't want your number anyways and just pretended that your number was the rejection hotline LOL.

Today, I asked a cute girl for her phone number. I looked at the paper and thought it was the rejection hotline and I yelled at her and walked away. Turns out it wasn't. FML.
