maybe they live really far away? I would have tried to meet my husbands parents before we got engaged, even if they lived really far away (they only lived a few hours drive away, so it was really easy), but if money is an issue, and they would have to fly across the country (or even out of the country), I could see it being difficult. Then again, a combination of never meeting them and not knowing what they do does sound a little odd...
Awesome guess :)
LOL what are the chances? Actually some of those undesirable jobs are paid somewhat decently because you have to raise the wage to get people to do them. For example, construction workers who work on skyscrapers can be paid a middle to upper-middle class wage
what's wrong with being a garbage man? it's a job like any other. ydi for being an ass
op is an ass. a garbage collector is honest work.
You are engaged to a girl, yet have no idea what her father's profession is?
YDI. I haven't even met my girlfriend's dad, but I know his job.
someones gotta do it
How long have you been with your fiancee? It can't have been more than just a couple months if you a) haven't met her parents and b) don't even have a basic idea of what her parents do for a living. Maybe you should be rethinking all of this. I sure hope she is.
