Today, I once again told my son he needed a job and a girlfriend because I simply could not keep him in my house anymore. He yelled, "No, I can do whatever I want!" Then went back to playing video games. He's 38. FML

Today, my son apparently has no interest in having a life. He goes from his tiny one-bed flat to work, then back home again to play with his computer. It’s a good job, so he can afford a life, but he has no friends, never dates or goes anywhere, he even gets his shopping delivered. What can I do? FML

serve him w/ an eviction notice giving him 30 days to pay back rent for the amount you determine or get out. if he pays, have him sign a lease agreeing to pay each month. if he doesn't pay, call the cops to have him removed

since he's 38, you could have him forcibly removed from the house by police. I know that sounds kind of drastic, but if you're really doing everything in your power to get him to leave then you need to do something. by not doing anything you aren't teaching him to be a grown up. honestly though, ydi for letting it go on this long. you should have made it clear he can't sponge off you from the start. you might be really trying now, but he's 38, it's a little late to suddenly enforce this...
