Today, I ordered a pizza online to be delivered to my apartment. After an hour of waiting, I called the pizza place to ask what the problem was. Apparently, the people at the apartment below me took my already paid for pizza and ate it. FML

What just happened?

Today, after a bad week I ordered a large pizza, ready to binge-watch TV. The delivery guy shows up, I hand him the cash, and he left without giving me my pizza. Exhausted, I watched him leave, like a confused puppy. I called the pizzeria; he'd left the pizza somewhere else, and couldn't re-deliver it because their driver was "done for the night.” FML

Then knock on their door, explain what happened, and ask to reimbursed by either the pizza company, those who ate it, or both. Not really sure why you decided to whine on FML instead of handling a fairly simple problem yourself.

I think this is fake. If the OP did order with a debit/credit card, the pizza company would want to see the card to ensure that the order was not placed fraudulently. Additionally, most pizza places will call before they deliver the pizza to ensure you actually ordered (if placed online). And if it's not fake, do a charge back if the pizza company refuses to provide a free one, you never received the product you ordered.

That's not always true. My boyfriend had me order him a pizza online while he was at work via his credit card. It was delivered to our house and paid for with his credit card. I didn't even have the card on me and his name is obviously male. Either way, the man still gave me the pizza and didn't even ask me to sign the card. It's probably because I already tipped online so he knew he was getting monies. Idk.

That's not true at all, I order pizza for my place all the time and they only call if they get lost and I have never been asked to show my card, I just have to sign for it

Well, that's what they are supposed to do here. Pizza Hut, Dominos, etc all do it. Maybe they just don't do it where you live.

I have had Dominoes in Nottinghamshire, Aberdeenshire, AND North East Lincolnshire, none of them asked, so I think yours may be special due to the amount of people who likely do the same thing as the people downstairs in the OP, so basically, You have a sucky neighborhood.

Make em' cough up the pizza and the money. Sure the pizza will allready be mushy and smell of vomit but hey the money's good.

Call the pizza place and demand they send you another pizza for free... they are required by law to verify the credit card before they give the food to anybody. This is their mistake, not yours and they have to fix it.
