Today, I ordered some burgers at a fast food joint. When I said, "No lettuce," the cashier looked dumbfounded and asked, "What's that?" I literally had to say, "The green stuff" before she got it. I'm losing hope. FML

Today, at Burger King, I was coming back from break. A customer screamed at me because she ordered a double cheeseburger without pickles, and they were put on anyway. She threw it in my face. My face was covered in ketchup mustard and pickle. Did I mention I was on a break and had nothing to do with this? FML

Today, while working at a sandwich shop, we had a shortage and could only put so many veggies on one sandwich. I explained this to one man who was grumpy about it, but kept on ordering. I thought everything went well. He thought my face was a good target to launch his completed sandwich at. FML

how can anyone be that stupid? and how is it possible to not know what lettuce is? What does she eat, bread she has delivered to her house? It seems almost impossible to not know what lettuce is; if you go to the grocery store, you're gonna see it! Jeez

Maybe you she didn't understand you? Like you mumbled or have an accent? Just saying, I work as a cashier and some customers talk really fast or quiet . Takes me a second to get what they are saying.

Is lettuce called something else in the uk? When I was in oz they called peppers capsicums. And the cashier at McDonald's had no idea what root beer was when I asked for it.
