Ok first don't let it bother you and second make sure you get back and do it again grand tune out all but what you are playing and singing. I did the same thing years ago and although I was quite good at vocals and playing my acoustic guitar, when I played and same thing happened to me I put the guitar up and now only sing along with radios or concerts. I had an agent that had given me his card and said to call him and set up some studio time to record a demo but I never did and always wish I wouldn't have let some jerk stop me like that. There are always assholes. However, if he was the only one doing it, you probably sounded a lot better than you thought! Kudos for getting up there in the first place though! It takes a lot of nerve to get up there and I'm sure the next time you'll be doing even better than this time! Keep your head up! :)

I'm sorry if this sounds rude but how are you just going to run off stage? Last time I saw someone do that was at my elementary school talent show. If performing is what you like doing, one random guy shouldn't stop you from doing it.
