Today, I was at a karaoke bar. After a few drinks, I gave it a go. Halfway through “Total Eclipse of the Heart” I got so into it, I knocked over the mic stand. The mic flew off, hit the DJ, who then hit the emergency stop button, cutting off the music. I froze as the bar erupted into laughter. I did get a free Coke for my “performance,” which was something. FML

It really does! I've been singing all my life and am comfortable singing in front of people, but there's something about karaoke that makes me a bit nervous haha, and I've messed up pretty badly on a couple songs. You just gotta learn to shrug it off x)

I signed up for a singing contest at a local bar once, but when it came to my turn I chickened out and left the bar. It's so hard to get up in front of strangers and do something like that. Good for you for getting up there and giving it your best, OP!!!
